PRICES AND FINANCING FOR THE PILOT EDUCATION

Prices for the pilot education

The cost of the integrated pilot training at CAPA is DKK 745,000, plus approximately DKK 20,000 in fees for exams and authorities.

Included in the price are all theoretical materials including books, all flight training with a 5% buffer in all phases, a pilot uniform, a headset with a bag, and an iPad.

The training fees are paid in monthly installments. We have a dropout rate of approximately 5%, and in the event of discontinuation, a settlement will be made based on actual consumption/payment. If there has been an overpayment according to the settlement, it will be refunded.

Many face the challenge of financing their pilot dreams, primarily due to limited financing options from banks that, for various reasons, have had to reduce lending. This is an unfortunate trend as the aviation industry is confronted with the significant challenge of not producing enough pilots!

Our experience indicates that the standard and quality of pilot training play a crucial role in securing a job afterward, along with overall economic conditions. The standard is very high at the Center Air Pilot Academy (CAPA), which is audited and approved by several airlines.

To be considered for a loan, you must first meet the admission requirements at CAPA and have an EASA Class 1 Medical. Additionally, you need to purchase valid Loss of License and group life insurance at the beginning of your studies. You must also provide a minimum down payment of DKK 150,000 and additional security of DKK 200,000 or an approved guarantee. If you meet these criteria, it will be possible to obtain financing through CAPA Credit ApS and start on one of the four classes the school initiates each year (January, April, August & October).

Financing is based on an individual credit assessment and will be tailored to your specific circumstances.

The financing includes a favorable variable interest rate ranging from 6.70% – 9.95% p.a., depending on the provided collateral. Repayment of the credit begins only after the completion of the education. We offer an interest-free period for the first 6 months from the time of establishment if adequate collateral is provided.

POSSIBILITY OF RECEIVING STUDENT FINANCIAL AID (SU) DURING THE EDUCATION:
If you are living at home, your eligibility for SU (student financial aid) depends on your parents' income. The rates for 2023 range between DKK 1,024 per month to DKK 2,841 per month before tax. As a student living away from home, you can receive SU of DKK 6,589 per month in 2023 - before tax. Additional special subsidies can be obtained due to self-financed education and tuition fees, totaling a maximum of DKK 2,572 per month before tax (the amount for those living at home is dependent on parental income).
STUDENT LOAN (SU) DURING THE EDUCATION:
As the SU loan is an affordable financing option, CAPA Kredit ApS requires the student to take out the SU loan for the entire duration of the education. The amount is a maximum of DKK 3,371 per month in 2023 (tax-free). This amount helps reduce the need for credit from CAPA Kredit ApS. The SU loan is subject to an interest rate of 4% during the education and, after completion, the discount rate plus a maximum of 1% per annum. Repayment of the SU loan begins on January 1st of the year following the completion of the education.
TAXES DURING THE EDUCATION:
If you don't have a job during your education, your tax payment on the SU allowance in 2023 will be limited to a maximum of DKK 9,161 per month due to your personal deduction of DKK 48,000 annually. The total annual tax payment will be approximately DKK 23,500 when receiving the maximum SU of DKK 109,932. This results in a net monthly payout of DKK 7,203 after tax payment.
